When a non-Muslim converts to Islam.
Conversion to Islam is not a matter of private faith. It is not simply bowing before Allah or acknowledging Muhammad as a prophet. To convert is to surrender a civilization. It is to replace one’s own gods, customs, names, and laws with the cultural template of Arabia. What passes for spiritual devotion is, in truth, cultural annihilation. The convert does not merely trade metaphysics; he trades his history for Arab history, his identity for Arab identity, his future for Arab destiny.
The mistake of the non-Muslim world has been to answer Islam with rival theologies. Christians counter with Christ, Hindus with their gods, Buddhists with compassion. But the ground itself is flawed. Theology is the trap. The only devastating response is not to invent another metaphysics but to abolish metaphysics altogether. Logical empiricism—the uncompromising clarity of the Vienna Circle—makes revelation evaporate. A statement like “Allah created the world” carries no more sense than “the Absolute dances on the Absolute.” It is not false; it is meaningless. Once this is grasped, the spell of prophecy shatters.
From that epistemological ground, politics follows. Civilizations that refuse revelation can coexist based on reason, science, and pluralism. Here, the Dharmic nations are natural leaders: they have always tolerated a multiplicity of gods, philosophies, and schools. But the struggle is global. Europe, Asia, Africa, the Americas—all face the same threat: a faith that demands uniformity in belief, law, dress, even language. The only answer is unity of the Infidels, not as rival prophets but as free minds.
The order is simple. First, dissolve the illusion of metaphysics. Then build political solidarity. Only then can military unity come to defend civilization itself. The Vienna Circle never dreamed it was designing weapons against jihad. Yet in its insistence on verification and logic, it gave us something sharper than any sword: the refusal to submit to nonsense. That, not revelation, is the ground of freedom.
